TANDBERG once again adds more features and functionality to ensure investment protection and a consistent, reliable in-call experience.
|
This new client/server directory enables users to search in a centralized corporate directory
with the press of a button, and gives instant access to an updated directory managed through
TANDBERG Management Suite (TMS). The directory leverages all corporate directories
supported in TMS version 9, including LDAP, ILS, Active Directory and H.350. Search results
are automatically adjusted and give correct video or telephone numbers depending on the
endpoint capability, network, capacity and location. For easy dialing, it automatically uses
ISDN gateways*, neighboring gatekeeper zones* and international dialing rules if required.
*requires equipment from TANDBERG or 3rd party supported by TMS
H.239 is the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) standard for adding media
channels to video meetings. Implementing H.239, TANDBERG ensures interoperability
between vendors and sets a new standard for presentation features over ISDN and IP.
If two screens are not available, presenter and presentation can still be viewed
simultaneously, side-by-side on a single screen. Ideal for rooms with projectors or single
monitors, this feature gives users more flexibility in creating collaborative environments.
Available on all dual monitor capable TANDBERG systems.
The first vendor to support encryption (DES and AES) over ISDN and IP, we now support the
updated version 3 of encryption over IP (H.235 v3). Implementing version 3 of the H.235
standard enhances security and increases interoperability with other vendors. E4 software
also supports H.235 v2 for backwards compatibility.
Auto Network Address Translator (NAT) — designed for small office/home office (SOHO) users,
Auto NAT enables the endpoint to make calls internally and externally on the LAN when
configured and used with a NAT device.
H.245 DTMF — a touch tone standard for IP calls that increases interoperability with VoIP
solutions, IP-only MCUs and Cisco CallManager.
